With more than two decades of leading D-Mar, Doreen has established a lasting vision and mission, which D-Mar applies to all projects. With her guidance as a certified general contractor in multiple states, D-Mar, a certified WMBE, and DBE firm, emphasizes customer service, professionalism, transparency, and giving back.
Owner of D-Mar General Contracting and Development since 1984, a family-owned business established in 1972 and has served as president and owner since 2001. Caudell, a certified woman/minority General Contractor and business owner, expanded the company’s operation to include commercial development, construction management, large-scale interior build-outs, and site development.
As a state-certified general contractor in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, and South Carolina, Caudell completed her education at St. Petersburg College’s School of Engineering. She graduated from Clearwater High School in 1984 and is prolifically active in the community she has lived in nearly her entire life.
Doreen was elected to two terms on the Clearwater City Council in 2012 and 2016. She vacated her seat in November 2018 to focus again on D-Mar and opportunities to build the elements and infrastructure that make communities strong.
Caudell served on the Clearwater Community Development Board for six years, Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation Board/Ruth Eckerd Hall Education Board. She also served on the Executive Board of Lighthouse of Pinellas, Youth Leadership Pinellas Board, UPARC, and Advocare Trust Executive Board Financial and Advisory Committee. Doreen is a Board member of the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Florida Aquarium. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Clearwater, Florida, U.S.A.
She is active in the Women on the Way program; Women’s Business Enterprise National Council; a member of Leadership Pinellas, class of 2007; and a member of the National Association of Professional & Executive Women, WBENC, NAWIC, OSD, and WMBE. In addition to being an active member of ABC of The Florida Suncoast.
During her free time, Caudell enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew Caudell, and four grown children, Stephanie, Samantha, Kyle, and Cole. They enjoy their property outside Waynesville, North Carolina, travel, skiing, scuba diving, golf, art, and skydiving.
