Generating Understanding
What began as a general contracting project evolved to include elements of design-build work as the fire department looked to D-Mar to redesign portions of the original plans. As experts in high-quality, results-driven service, D-Mar was tasked with both educating the client on design rationale and generating solutions without escalating the budget.
Through value creating strategies that maintained the budget, D-Mar integrated innovative solutions to project challenges.
Compromising Solutions
This project involved renovating all staff areas of the Fire Station, including new staff and officer dorms, new interior and exterior paint, and replacing the standby generator with a new service-rated automatic transfer switch. D-Mar served as head problem-solver for communication between the architect, officials of Plant City, and the fire station staff to support the working relationship and achieve compromise on project challenges. Whether explaining how detailed elements of the finished construction would function, or redesigning areas in a cost-effective manner, D-Mar worked tirelessly to ensure the fire department and city officials were satisfied with the completed job.
